Best Candidates for Dentures

You may be a candidate for custom dentures if you have lost most or all of your teeth, but your jawbone and gums are strong and healthy. If you have natural teeth, these may either be extracted for a full denture or kept with a partial denture. In your appointment with a member of our team, we will examine your condition and give you your options based on your needs and goals.

What To Expect

If needed, we will extract any natural teeth before taking oral impressions, which will be used to craft your custom dentures. Partial dentures will be tinted to match your natural teeth for a seamless result. Once your full or partial dentures are finished, our team will adjust them to be comfortable. We will also discuss methods to care for your custom dentures.

Experience there for the first time was great I was greeted by Julie at the front desk with a voice to light up anyone’s day and Dawn was very professional, as well made the process a bit easier with communicating with me. I would recommend anyone to go here .

Dawn is great, especially, with me…a very fearful dental patient! She had big shoes to fill, following Randi and Odessa, but she does not disappoint, she is great!!!!

Follow-Up

It will probably take some time before your new dentures feel comfortable, but it should eventually be easier to eat and speak normally. If your dentures feel loose, return to People's Dental to have your dentures adjusted. At home, you will need to keep your dentures clean by brushing them twice every day. Whenever you remove your dentures, they should be soaked to avoid drying them out. Continue to schedule annual exams and bi-annual cleanings at People's Dental so we can monitor the wear and fit of your custom denture and the health of your jaw and gums. Our team will let you know if your dentures should be repaired or replaced but with good care, your dentures should last for a long time.

Insurance Coverage

If you have dental insurance, part of the cost of your dentures will probably be covered. A member of our billing staff will contact your dental insurance company to figure out your coverage and out-of-pocket responsibilities. At your first appointment, we will personalize your treatment plan so your dentures fit both your needs and budget. To assist with making your treatment more affordable whether you have dental insurance or not, People's Dental accepts many forms of payment, including medical financing.
