Invisalign® Springfield, MA

Overview

Well-aligned, straight teeth are not only attractive, they are healthier and more comfortable. Crooked teeth and an improper bite can lead to long-term dental concerns that can become painful and expensive to fix. This is why our experienced dental team here at People's Dental is happy to offer advanced Invisalign — removable, clear teeth aligners for our patients in Springfield, MA. Custom made for your teeth and your specific needs, Invisalign is more attractive and comfortable than metal orthodontics that can be removed to make eating and cleaning your teeth much easier. If you are interested in getting straighter teeth with advanced Invisalign technology, schedule a consultation at People's Dental to learn more.

Best Candidates

There are multiple factors that can determine your teeth alignment: genetics, thumbsucking as a child, the loss of a tooth or teeth, and a physical trauma to your face. If your teeth are misaligned, it can lead to other oral health problems, including dental malocclusion (a bad bite), abnormal enamel wear, trouble speaking and chewing, as well as toothaches and jaw pain. If finds any of these concerns during your annual dental exam, they may recommend an orthodontic treatment like Invisalign.

An Invisalign treatment is ideal for both adults and teens who want straighter teeth without the pain, hassle, and appearance of braces. While they do need to be worn for most of the time, your aligners can be taken out for eating and brushing your teeth, as well as for special events and playing sports. Far more discreet than traditional braces that cut and poke the inside of your cheeks, your family and friends will probably not realize that you are wearing your Invisalign tray.

What To Expect

Your first set of Invisalign trays will be created using digital impressions at People's Dental. Once they are ready, you will return to get your first sets along with care instructions from a member of our team. You should wear your aligners at least 20 – 22 hours each day for the system to be effective, ideally removing them only for eating and cleaning. Over time, you will move on to the next set of aligning trays as they gently move your teeth into proper alignment. You need to schedule appointments around every 4 – 6 weeks at People's Dental to have the fit of your aligners evaluated and to have more digital impressions taken so your next set of aligners can be made. The length of time that you use the Invisalign system will vary based on the original position of your teeth and your cosmetic goals, but most patients wear aligners for about one year.

Experience there for the first time was great I was greeted by Julie at the front desk with a voice to light up anyone’s day and Dawn was very professional, as well made the process a bit easier with communicating with me. I would recommend anyone to go here .

Dawn is great, especially, with me…a very fearful dental patient! She had big shoes to fill, following Randi and Odessa, but she does not disappoint, she is great!!!!

We will talk to you about how long to wear your retainer, as well as how to care for it once it is sent from the lab. We will continue to watch your teeth alignment and bite during your dental exams to ensure your teeth remain in the correct position.
